La versión 5.6.3 está disponible para su descarga.

* Esta versión corrige un problema en la creación/modificación de eventos en la Agenda, por el que aparecía un falso aviso de error al crear/modificar el primer ítem (a pesar del aviso, la operación se realizaba correctamente). También se corrige una inconsistencia en la modificación de Citas y Vencimientos, en los que la fecha y el preaviso iniciales se perdían al realizar una modificación, de forma que era necesario volver a introducir los datos correspondientes.

* Se ha mejorado la descripción de los errores proporcionados por la rutina de mantenimiento de los parámetros iniciales.  Cuando se introduce un path erróneo para el Buzón de mensajes; el archivo Histórico, o el directorio de la copia de seguridad (backup), el mensaje identifica cual de ellos es incorrecto.

* It corrects an error that could potentially hide data when moving items from one group to another group of dBase, and the target depends on the source (the target group is a descendant of the source). Such movements creates a logical inconsistency that deal in the disappearance from the user interface of the moved group and all its descendants, thus becoming inaccessible (tantamount to try graft a branch of a tree in anyplace of itself -the cut of the branch for graft make it disappears from the tree, and then can not be accessed from any point of the original the tree or from any other-). The new version includes a control that warns about the inconsistency and does not allow the movement.

* The new version also includes the possibility that, when making numerical/date calculations in dBase, the values used can be in any position within the item itself (in previous versions these calculations always refer to the values at the beginning of the title) . To this, has been included the possibility of selecting the hypothetical column within the item containing the data to consider, as well as define the character or characters (up to five different) we assume that act as column’s separators in the title.

* Corrige un error potenciál que puede ocultar datos cuando se mueven los elementos de un grupo de dBase a otro grupo que que depende del grupo origen (el grupo destino es descendiente del origen). Este tipo de movimientos origina una inconsistencia lógica que hace desaparecer de la interfaz de usuario el grupo movido y todos sus descendientes, por lo que resultan inaccesibles (equivaldría a injertar una rama de un árbol en cualquier punto de sí misma -al cortarla para su injerto, desaparece del árbol y después no puede ser accedida desde ningún punto del propio árbol ni desde ningún otro-). La nueva versión implementa un control que advierte de la inconsistencia y no permite el movimiento.

* Se ha incluido la posibilidad de que, al realizar cálculos numéricos/de fecha en la dBase, puedan utilizarse valores en cualquier posición dentro del propio ítem (en las versiones anteriores estos cálculos se refieren siempre a los valores que aparecen al principio del título). Para esto se ha incluido la posibilidad de seleccionar la hipotética columna dentro del ítem que contiene los datos a considerar, así como definir el carácter o caracteres (hasta cinco distintos) que suponemos actúan como divisores de columnas en el título.

* The main reason of this release is the correction of an error detected in the earlier version by which, in the Notebook and in the Note/Memo fields of dBase, it is not possible cut/copy text to the clipboard if the selection includes characters behind the position 65,535. Of course this can only happen if the content of the field exceeds 64 KB.

* In addition to the correction above, it has been included the ability to perform calculations in the window of results (contextual menu in the auxiliary bottom window). This option allows interesting possibilities, since the items in this window are the result of a search (implement a condition over the whole dBase or any part thereof).

* El motivo principal es la corrección de un error detectado en la versión anterior por el que, en el Bloc de Notas y en los campos Nota/Memo de la dBase, no es posible cortar/copiar texto al portapapeles si la selección incluye caracteres más allá de la posición 65.535. Naturalmente esta situación solo puede presentarse cuando el contenido del campo es de más de 64 KB.

* Además de la corrección anterior, se ha incluido la posibilidad de realizar cálculos en la ventana de resultados (menú contextual en la ventana auxiliar inferior). Esta opción permite interesantes posibilidades, ya que los ítems de esta ventana pueden ser el resultado de una búsqueda (aplicar una condición sobre la dBase o parte de ella).

This release fixes two problems found in previous versions:

* Ability to cause a fatal error when attempting certain operations (for example, import files) who pertain to the clipboard.

* Ability to cause a fatal error when attempting to import some very large BLOB objects as a result of the lack of enough contiguous memory in the system.

Besides the previous ones, we have incorporated significant improvements, the details of which can be seen on the corresponding page (Change Log). These include:

* It has been improved the mechanism for import BLOB objects, so that now can be included in the Zator’s database objects of any size -in the tests carried out, we have included without problem objects with more than 472 MB in size (483,571,471 bytes)-

* It has been included an option to export (restore back) these BLOB objects to external files.

* We have included new options to import/export data to/from OrganiZator, with external files and with the clipboard. This lead the user to a much more comfortable working with external applications or data.

* We have extraordinarily expedited jump movements. For example, when from a bottom window (of links) we want to go to the corresponding item (option «Jump to this item»).

* In the help window (About Zator) has been included information about the use in the dBase connected at the time in the main area. This lead to a much more friendly use of the standard version (unregistered), because the user can easily ascertain the margin available in each dBase.

Esta versión corrige dos problemas encontrados en versiones anteriores:

* Posibilidad de producirse un error fatal al intentar ciertas operaciones (por ejemplo, importar ficheros) que implican al mecanismo del portapapeles de Windows.

* Posibilidad de producirse un error fatal al importar objetos BLOB muy grandes, como consecuencia de la ausencia de suficiente memoria contigua en el sistema.

Además de lo anterior, se han incorporado importantes mejoras cuyo detalle puede verse en la página correspondiente (Historial de cambios). Entre ellas cabe destacar:

* Se ha mejorado el mecanismo de importar objetos BLOB, de forma que ahora pueden incluirse en la database Zator objetos de cualquier tamaño -en las pruebas realizadas hemos incluido sin problema objetos de más de 472 MB (483.571.471 bytes)-

* Se ha incluido una opción para exportar estos objetos BLOB a ficheros externos.

* Se han incluido nuevas opciones que permiten importar/exportar datos hacia/desde OrganiZator, con ficheros externos y con el portapapeles, de forma que resulta mucho más cómodo el trabajo con otras aplicaciones o datos externos.

* Se han agilizado extraordinariamente los movimientos de salto. Por ejemplo, cuando desde una ventana inferior (de enlaces) queremos saltar al ítem correspondiente (opción «Saltar a este ítem»).

* En la ventana de Ayuda (Acerca de Zator) se ha incluido información sobre el uso de la dBase conectada en ese momento al área inicial (main), de forma que resulta más cómodo para el usuario de la versión estándar (no registrada) comprobar el margen disponible en cada dBase.

Besides correcting the known problems in the previous version, the 5.5 incorporate significant improvements. Perhaps one of the most significant is that the capacity of the Memo/Note fields of dBase has been expanded up to 1.5 MB. (In previous versions the maximum size of these fields is 32 KB). There are also new and improved options to search, move and delete objects in dBase.

Note: due the lack of time, some of the new options are not yet documented (not yet in the on-line manual). Although in some cases their operation is fairly intuitive, we will try to comment them in the manual as soon as possible. While the relevant documentation is not available, we recommend visit the Change Log page, which contains basic information about the new options.

Además de corregir los problemas conocidos en la versión anterior, la 5.5 incorpora importantes mejoras. Quizás una de las más significativas es que se ha ampliado la capacidad de los campos Memo/Nota de dBase hasta 1.5 MB. (en las versiones anteriores el tamaño máximo de estos campos es de 32 KB). Al mismo tiempo, se han incorporado y mejorado las opciones para buscar, mover y borrar objetos en la dBase.

Nota: por falta de tiempo, algunas de las nuevas opciones aún no están documentadas (no se han incluido en el manual on-line). Aunque en algunos casos su funcionamiento es bastante intuitivo, intentaremos incluirlas en el manual a la mayor brevedad posible. Mientras la documentación pertinente no esté disponible, aconsejamos visitar la página Historial de Cambios, que contiene información básica sobre las nuevas opciones.

* After using the command «Count words/Character» in the Note/Memo fields of dBase, the application presents a problem of stability and any subsequent movement can produce a fatal error (not recoverable). The problem is solved in the version to be released shortly. The only way to avoid this is not to use that option.

* In some cases it can happen that after a print of some dBase content, the Log field result misplaced on the screen. The only significance is that the contents of the Log is difficult to see as it is overshadowed by the upper windows. The solution is to exit and restart the program.
