Esta versión resuelve un posible problema de ejecución de la versión anterior, que se presenta en aquellos equipos que no han instalado  determinadas librerías Windows (la versión más reciente de algunas runtime de MS Visual C++). En caso necesario, el nuevo instalador incluye las librerías necesarias en el Sistema anfitrión.

La nueva versión incluye también una importante mejora en la interfaz de usuario; concretamente en la modificación de campos extendidos (Nombre, Dirección, Población, etc) de la Data Base. Creemos que el nuevo diseño de la interfaz es mucho más claro que el anterior, y que evitará confusiones a los usuarios.

In certain systems, while trying to run the application may appear an error: «This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Check the event log of the application for more details«.

Instead of the above, you can also get the message: «CreateProcess failed; code 14001«.

The problem is because in the host System missing some MS Windows libraries. These libraries should have been included in the Zator’s installation program, but do not have been due to a mistake that will be corrected in the next update.

The most immediate way to solve this problem is download and install the aforementioned libraries -Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)-.  The installer is the file vcredist_x86.exe that can be found on the Microsoft site:

Once downloaded the Vcredist_x86.exe file, you must run it to install the missing libraries, after which the version 5.6.5 should operate without problem.

En determinados equipos, al intentar ejecutar la aplicación puede aparecer un error: «Error al iniciar la aplicación; la configuración en paralelo no es correcta. Consulte el registro de eventos de la aplicación para obtener más detalles«.  Por su parte, el registro de eventos contiene la descripción: «Error al generar el contexto de activación para …\Zator5.exe. No se encontró el ensamblado dependiente. …»

En lugar del anterior, también pueden aparecer los mensajes: «CreateProcess falló; código 14001«, o «No se pudo iniciar la aplicación porque su configuración es incorrecta.  Reinstalar la aplicación puede solucionar el problema«.

El problema es debido a que faltan algunas librerías de MS Windows en el Sistema anfitrión.  Estas librerías deberían haberse incluido en el programa de instalación de Zator, pero no lo han sido debido a un error que será subsanado en la próxima actualización.

La forma más inmediata de resolver este problema es descargar e instalar las referidas librerías -Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)-.  El instalador es el fichero vcredist_x86.exe, que puede encontrarse en el sitio de Microsoft:

Una vez descargado el fichero, debe ejecutarse para instalar las librerías faltantes, tras lo cual la versión 5.6.5 debe funcionar sin problema.

The reason for this update is to correct a problem in creating new entries in Data Base> Accounting, where in some cases, due to a rounding problem, after creating a entry is not possible to create another.

Although the record was created correctly, sometimes a problem in rounding lead to the new entry not be regarded as completely settled, so it was not allowed to introduce a new date and start another.

El motivo de esta actualización es corregir un problema en la creación de apuntes en Data Base > Contabilidad, donde debido a un problema de redondeo, en algunos casos, después de crear un apunte no es posible crear otro.

Aunque el apunte se creaba correctamente, en ocasiones, un error en el redondeo motivaba que el apunte no fuese considerado como completamente saldado, por lo que no se permitía introducir una nueva fecha e iniciar otro.

* The window of the dBase does not behave properly when it does not occupy the entire Windows desktop as it is designed to stay maximized (at full screen).

* In some rare cases, an error occurs in the window of dBase, leading to the main (upstair) windows lost its horizontal alignment, so that the root window (first left) is not located on the left of the screen. This is the situation shown schematically in the figure.

It is possible to correct the aforementioned misalignment by clicking the mouse on the auxiliary window of the root window (indicated in the figure with an arrow).

Recall that clicking the mouse in this window doubles the width of the main windows, and that clicking again, return them to the default width.

* La ventana de la dBase no se comporta correctamente cuando no ocupa la totalidad del escritorio de Windows, ya que está diseñada para permanecer maximizada (a pantalla completa).

* En algunas raras ocasiones, se produce un error en la ventana de dBase, lo que origina que las ventanas principales (superiores) pierdan su alineación horizontal, de forma que la ventana raíz (primera a la izquierda) no quede situada a la izquierda de la pantalla. Es la situación indicada esquemáticamente en la figura adjunta.

Es posible corregir la referida desalineación pulsando con el ratón sobre la ventana auxiliar (inferior) de la ventana raíz (señalada en la figura con una flecha).

Recordemos que clicando con el ratón en esta ventana se duplica el ancho de las ventanas principales, y que volviendo a clicar, se vuelve al tamaño por defecto.

The version 5.6.4 is available for download.

This release correct an inconsistency in the Notebook. There, when selecting «Cancel» after having made any changes, and re-invoke the Notebook, it appeared as if the changes were maintained, but actually that appearance was maintained only during the current session. When closing the application and re-enter, we can see that the changes had not been retained. The modification makes the behavior more into line with user expectations. Now, after some changes if you select «Cancel» and then comeback to the Notebook in the same working session, it is found that recent changes have not been preserved.

El motivo de esta actualización es corregir una inconsistencia en el Bloc de Notas, donde al seleccionar «Cancelar» después de haber efectuado algún cambio, al volver a invocar el Bloc, este aparecía como si los cambios se mantuviesen, aunque en realidad, la apariencia solo se mantenía durante la sesión actual de trabajo. Si se salía de la aplicación y se volvía a entrar, podía comprobarse que los cambios no se habían conservado. La modificación introducida hace que el comportamiento sea más acorde con las expectativas del usuario. Ahora, si después de algunos cambios se selecciona «Cancelar» y se vuelve al Bloc en la misma sesión de trabajo, se comprueba que los últimos cambios no se han conservado.

The version 5.6.3 is available for download

* This version corrects a problem in the creation/modification of events on the Scheduler, which featured a false error message when you create/ modify the first item (despite the warning, the operation was done correctly). It also corrects a inconsistency when modifying Appointments and Expiry dates, in which the initial time and forewarn was lost when making a modification, so that it was necessary to re-enter that data.

* It has been improved the description of the errors provided by the routine to maintain the Initial Parameters. When you enter a wrong path to the Mailbox; the Historic files, or the Backup directory, the message identifies which of them is incorrect.
